How Our Mountaineers Stay Ready
Our members train in fundamental and advanced land navigation — map reading, compass work, and terrain analysis. These skills form the backbone of our field operations and ensure our teams can operate effectively in any environment.
From CPR and basic first aid to advanced casualty care, our members receive ongoing medical training at both beginner and advanced levels. Prepared members save lives — in the field and in the community.
We train as a team and operate as a team. Our program develops communication, coordination, and leadership skills that make our members effective in the field, reliable under pressure, and valuable assets to the communities we serve.
Our members develop a broad range of practical field skills including austere terrain movement, bushcraft, knots, and rappelling. These skills build confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to operate effectively in demanding environments.
